Morning delight … ! صباح الخير

Don’t you just love waking up to packages! Honestly, online shopping is just like sending yourself a present LOL. So anyway, I posted recently about how I came across the Tom Ford Black Dahlia lipstick in Harrods. It was so perfect on me but since it’s limited edition, it’s not available in store again until June. Yes June </3.    Anyway, mama knows best so she suggested looking in other department stores online. I managed to locate it in Harvey Nichols! So happy since I need it for an event tomorrow hosted by Haute Arabia in London’s Shangri-La restaurant at the Shard. The beauty concierge service at HN is wonderful. The lady I spoke to was so helpful and she gave me complimentary express delivery so it could arrive in time. Seriously, good customer service goes a long way. The package arrived this morning and I adore how cute it looks.   Tom Ford is known for his chic and sleek lipstick packaging, and when you pay almost £40 for a stick, it should look pretty as well as work wonders …

Saturday in London … يوم السبت في لندن

So finally we finished copying over our blogposts from our old blog onto here. If you notice on previous posts, many of them have the same date. That means when I refer to yesterday in this post, it will mean 21/2/2015. So yesterday we got to London bright and early for the purpose of makeup shopping. From Euston we headed straight for Selfridges. We assumed it would be open by the time we got there (0920) but we had to wait around 10 …

Countryside getaway …

So we just got back from a weekend away in the countryside, and honestly we didn’t want to leave! We stayed in a beautiful stately house tucked away in hundred of acres of lush green and open blue skies. This trip was a spiritual retreat organised by a Muslim organisation. The programme included lectures, workshops and activities such as archery and swimming. Honestly, it was so nice to get away from city life, breathe fresh air and reflect. Being in such a simple environment is perfect for appreciating all the luxuries we have and how fortunate we are. We truly are blessed, and sometimes it takes that time out for us to appreciate all that we enjoy on a daily basis. We really benefited from the spiritual talks and we felt such a boost of faith on leaving the retreat. One of the main themes of the lectures was the importance of sending praise upon the prophet Muhammad peace be upon Him. The female lecturer challenged us to see how many openings we would receive simply …
