With the UK beauty industry alone worth £15bn, it’s no wonder that there has been a significant rise in self- taught make-up artists and beauty bloggers all trying to squeeze a piece of this fat cake. The beauty blogging scene seems saturated, and as novices to the beauty world, we have trawled through quite a fair few, seeking to learn as much as we can about beauty and skin-care. Page after page, beauty bloggers that we found seemed to all be reviewing the same old products and providing the same information. That’s when we stumbled across the ‘Beautea Bible’.
Entering the blog run by Tanjia and Maryam, was akin to stepping into an Aladdin’s cave of beauty gems. Everything we needed, everything, concerning beauty, was right there! Aesthetically pleasing, and easily navigable, BeauteaBible is heavily detailed without being overwhelming for newbies to the world of beauty. A beginner could flick through and easily identify which products and equipment they would need to start their introduction to make-up and skin care. For the more advanced, T and M offer different ways on how to build up to a glamorous look. The blog includes natural skin-care masks, as well as their secrets to their luscious locks. We particularly love the styling section, where the girls give their followers ideas on what to wear and which make-up look should accompany it. This is the most comprehensive beauty blog that we have found, and we absolutely love it!
BeauteaBible is a gold mine of information for everyone. From the make-up clueless, to the pretty clued up beauty blogger, it’s a beginner’s guide, and an expert’s reference book. The girls balance blogging with their studies and jobs, so we were really pleased that they took time out of their busy schedule for us. Read our 60-seconds with T and M below.
60-seconds with…. T of BeauteaBible
How was the BeauteaBible concept conceived?
How many hours a week do you spend on the blog?
It always depends, I’m always answering questions from my phone on the go whenever I can spare a sec but weekends are where I sit down and actually write a post in full detail.
It comes from our social presence independently firstly, through our individual Instagram pages and then via the content of our blog, I guess its relevant and focus on problems not many bloggers talk about.
She has one of those faces where any and every makeup look would go, so I think i’d make the makeup compliment the hair, and with her new hair shade I’d stick to nudes and peaches.
Laura Mercier Photo Edition Moisturising Silk Creme, its taken over my love for Dior foundations!
Splurge always, you just have to invest when it comes to your face!
Functionality of course but I do shamelessly give into gimmicky items at times.
I cannot find a single product, her choice of products go hand in hand with mine, I can always trust her to even go shopping for me
You’re demanded to share your personal life even when its inappropriate, I don’t think some people understand the boundaries as to what can be shared or not, but I do understand their curiosity.
Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga, why just why?
Scott Barnes, Kevyn Aucoin and Mario Dedivanovic, their skills are just majestic.
Noooo as much as I adore her, I cannot live by that rule, makeup is not a mask to hide behind, its an instrument to enhance.
I tell myself its a no-makeup makeup look but end up wearing a dozen so I guess its either go bald or bare with me, there is no in between.
Haha I think its a requirement, he needs to see you at your worst, best and anything in between.
I’d like to say comfort, but I don’t own a single pair of flats so its definitely style with me.
Skin prepping is a must and for this I’d wear Embroylisse moisturising cream underneath my Kiehls Micro Blur Primer, followed by Laura Mercier Photo Edition Silk Creme. Red carpet screams under eye highlight; I’d banish my circles with a mixture of Bobbi Brown’s peach corrector, LA Girl Pro Conceal Yellow corrector topped up with Kett Creme Blend. For contour I’d stick with the pro by opting for ABH Contour Kit in original. I always rely on NARS to blend my contour with the perfect blush, bronzer and highlight so I’d typically choose NARS Taos blush, Casino bronzer and Albatross highlight. Naked palette by Urban Decay consists of all the Red carpet appropriate shades, I’d stick to the gold and browns. I’d top that off with Inglot’s gel eyeliner, Huda Beauty Samantha lashes and MAC Diva for the perfect old Hollywood look!
I don’t agree with colour coordinating your outfit to your eyeshadow but to some extent yes they do have to compliment each other.
A lash curler, its a makeup tool, but I mean if you really think about it, its an instrument made to curl the hair strands on your eye lids…
Ben Nye Banana Powder. Its an amazing product. But I’ve seen bloggers rave about it without knowing how to use it properly. What are you raving about if you haven’t even achieved the results its meant to give aside just give into the entire Kim Kardashian hype behind it?
I watch Suits, I’m a Suits junkie.
A peacock (I’ve never actually thought about it)
He’s mad he cant use the same excuse to fool us.
I’m so sick of it, I’ve watched so many videos where they’ve used a million products just focussed on the brows. No one has the time.
How symmetrical a face is I presume. I don’t think beauty depends on a particular feature because I’ve seen beauty in all shapes and forms so yeah…
Probably with youtube videos to go with it but, no promises…
60-seconds with…. M of BeauteaBible
We met via mutuals, she was strong, Independent and caring individual who was so fierce I fell in love.
We both kept receiving beauty related questions on our personal tumblr’s so we both decided to create a joint blog.
Not as many as I should … Ooops
In my opinion its certainly our social networking sites tumblr and Instagram. We have met and become such good friends with so many amazon people its crazy .
Well she’s back to being a brunette now, thats her signature look she needs to stick to it in my opinion. If I were to change her look I’d experiment with a perm and use dramatic colours on her face therefore resorting to urban decay.
Makeup forever HD foundation is life. That is all.
Both. Me and Tanjia are both suckers for packaging but we also fall for things that are extremely simple to use and are obviously of excellent quality.
Myself and T are soul sisters. Our tastes go hand in hand with each other. So the answer would be nothing.
Not at all. So many girls write to us and tell us we are their role models and we inspire them. Every GOOD always outweighs the bad in my opinion. I love life.
Im very unconfident with my no makeup face which I need to get over most people say its nowhere near as bad as I think but I guess its an extreme insecurity that takes a lot to get over. I have been trying my best but hopefully with time I shall get over it.
Yeah its natural? I think its healthy to be that way.
Comfort, I always wear trackies, hoodies, trainers, jeans and tops all the time. Style is more for formal events.
Prep my skin with khiels face cream, massage in charlotte tilbury wonderglow serum for a natural highlight to the skin, Makeup forever HD foundation set with charlotte tilbury microblur powder and to finish a soft contour and highlight using CT filmstar bronze and glow to the face and neck, finish off with Anastasia Beverly hills liquid lipstick in ‘Vamp’ and light liquid liner with a dash of mascara maybe lashes if I’m feeling cheeky.
The face has to do the talking but modesty speaks lengths. I don’t like coordinating makeup with an outfit. Looks tacky.
Lip plumper? Im not sure that would be categorised as a makeup product but its in the beauty category. Its so bizarre LOL.
Ben Nye banana powder.
Movies, pyjamas, mums lap, Macbook and social media.
Its 2015 lets leave that back in 2013.
